The Sulha Spa at Kudadoo Maldives has been awarded the Best Luxury Wellness Spa in the country at the World Luxury Spa Awards 2019.

The luxury spa features Maldives’ first Himalayan salt chamber. Named the Lonu Cave, the space is lined with mineral-rich 1000 year-old Himalayan salt that is renowned for its healing qualities.

Established in 2010, the World Luxury Spa Awards is the pinnacle of achievement in the luxury spa industry offering international recognition as voted for by guests, travelers and industry players alike.

Over 250,000 international travelers vote each year during a four-week period to select the winners. Luxury spas have the opportunity to participate in the World Luxury Spa Awards by entering categories that showcase their unique selling points, destinations and facilities.

Kudadoo’s sister property Hurawalhi’s 5.8 Undersea restaurant has also won the Wine Spectator award of Excellence this year. It is a testament to the quality of its wine programme, the resort said in a press statement.
