Singapore-based design firm Topo Design Studio is in the midst of a spa revamp at Sheraton Maldives, CLAD news reports.
The resort finished a larger renovation project valued at USD 20 million last year and the spa upgrade comes on the heels of this.
The spa makeover sets the resort back by some USD 470,000, CLAD says, with all of the spa’s treatment rooms being updated with the addition of a wooden deck to each. Meanwhile, the spa complex’s hydrotherapy pools, two relaxation lounges and steam rooms are also being upgraded.

“The team at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa believes it is important to continue to ensure that the property goes above and beyond the standards expected of a five-star resort without losing the feel of their surroundings,” general manager Emilio Fortini told CLAD.
“As the third eldest resort in the Maldives, dating back to 1937 [sic], the design team has focused on maintaining the resort’s rich and unique Maldivian heritage, whilst also modernising the property to enhance guests’ experience.”
The spa renovation, which started in early August is expected to be done by December 2019.
