Cocoon Investment’s business partners donated personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Maldives, essential to the ongoing battle against COVID-19 in the country.

The consignment of PPE was handed over by the chairman of Cocoon Investment Mr Asgi Akbarally to His Excellency Omar Abdul-Razzaq, high commissioner of the Maldives to Sri Lanka yesterday.

The Maldives currently has over 800 active cases of COVID-19 and has witnessed three deaths. The virus has infected over 4.1 million people worldwide.

Cocoon Investments is known for the Maldives’ first design resort Cocoon Maldives, which opened in December 2016. The resort displays the design by the innovative Italian designers LAGO.

Another Cocoon property opened in Raa Atoll, You & Me by Cocoon, which opened officially in February 2019. A self-dubbed rustic-chic resort, it’s an adults-only island with a striking underwater restaurant built with honeymooners and couples in mind.
