Dhaalu Atoll Airport on Kudahuvadhoo island is now open for private jets, which brings Niyama Private Islands within reach for its prospective guests.

The airport began operations in 2017, with the first aircraft landing on the 1st of June that year. Its 1.8km runway is fit for large private jets as well as smaller turboprop aircraft like the Dash-8.

Meanwhile, the beautiful Niyama Private Islands are just a 10-minute hop away on a speedboat.

“With the [complete] reopening of the Dhaalu Atoll airport in the very near future, Niyama Private Islands Maldives will once again be in a unique position of having an airport which is just a 10 minute boat ride away. This de facto can be considered a quasi private airport for Niyama Private Islands Maldives, making it an ultimate dream destination for private jets; giving guests the closest possible access to any luxurious resort in the Maldives,” said Deveekaa Nijhawan, Cluster Director of PR and Communications, Niyama Private Islands Maldives.

Niyama has had no cases of COVID-19. Nijhawan explained that guests staying at the resort can be assured of the highest hygiene standards with Stay With Peace of Mind Hygiene programme applied with protective masks, daily temperature checks, use of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved disinfectants for deep sanitation, extensive hygiene training for all colleagues, strict social distancing across all public areas and 24 hour availability of a resort doctor. All these practices will be put into place once the resort reopens so as to ensure that the guests are assured of total peace of mind so as to exclusively enjoy their holiday at Nature’s Playground.

Set on two lush islands dubbed Play and Chill, Niyama’s twin-island experience will be hard to match even in the Maldives.

Chill takes things slow, allowing you to fully relax at the Drift Spa, letting a boat whisk you off to an unforgettable, romantic dining experience at Edge. There’s also the underwater restaurant and nightclub Subsix if you feel like a night out.

And true to its name, Play is for adventure seekers and those who want to take things up a notch while on holiday. There’s kayaking and surfing for water aficionados while bicycle rides inland let you discover the island at your leisure.

Of course, privacy is safeguarded on Niyama Private Islands, with the 134-room resort providing utmost privacy even at full capacity.
