Three Kaimoo properties, Summer Island, Embudu Village and Equator Village have received gold certificates for their efforts in helping curb the spread of COVID-19, the group said in a press release.
It’s an international certification awarded to the resorts in December by Hotel Resilient, a group that aims to be at the fore of ‘scientific and technical solutions for resilience in the hospitality sector’.
The certification process reviews each resort’s policies to address the spread of the virus and are given a score.
Commenting on the Gold Certificates for the three resorts, Kaimoo Managing Director Manih Ahmed said:
“I am delighted to receive Gold Certification for our resorts. It demonstrates the safety of our properties, and the effectiveness of the COVID measures we put in place upon re-opening. Guests can have peace of mind that it is safe to holiday in the Maldives at our resorts.”
Last March, Hotel Insider visited Embudu Village to speak with Ramsay Perera, group GM Kaimoo Resorts and Hotels. Ramsay is an industry icon and his contributions to the sector was recognised last year by MATATO. Read the interview here.
