This is one of our favourite spots in Male Atoll, possibly the whole of the country, and they have just got themselves a new executive chef, Taylor Shearman, from Aus.
She began her culinary journey as a kitchen apprentice and worked at some of Australia’s best restaurants. During this time, she got to learn one-on-one from some of the best chefs in the country, which no doubt played a key role in moulding her for success.
After stints at luxury hotels in the Turks and Caicos she’s now in at a stunning Maldives property that deeply values the gastronomic experiences it offers guests.
“Cooking is all about transmission,” says Taylor. “My greatest pleasure is being able to transmit the passion I have for food and for cooking to future generations of great chefs. There is no better place to do this than with a talented team like at LUX* North Male Atoll.”
