The newest addition to The Cocoon Collection properties, Joy Island, will welcome guests from 1 September 2023. Located in North Malé Atoll, the resort is a 40-minute speedboat ride away from the Velana International Airport.
The five-star resort is The Cocoon Collection’s third resort in the Maldives and the sixth in its portfolio of resorts.
The resort features 151 villas on the beach and in the lagoon with a choice of sunrise or sunset views with open-air bathrooms.
Joy Island’s main restaurant, The Market, aims to excite guests in a showcase of world flavours with its daily street food themes, while the most loved Italian dishes will be served in il Basilico. Guests can enjoy cocktails at the colourful ambience of Rainbow, while Chiringuito restaurant on the tip of the island serves tasty tapas and paella.
The resort also promises a sublime spa experience to heal the mind, body and spirit at the overwater Dream Spa. A PADI centre, tennis, paddle, water sports and boat excursions are available for those in search of activities. A fully supervised Kids Club will keep younger guests happily entertained.
