Soneva Fushi and Soneva Jani have been chosen among The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2023. Soneva Fushi was ranked number seven while Soneva Jani was at number 36 among industry-defining hotels across six continents.
The World’s 50 Best Hotels list was unveiled at an awards ceremony in London at the historic Guildhall.
In addition to making the Top 50 list, Soneva also won two special prizes. Sonu Shivdasani OBE, CEO and Co-Founder of Soneva, was crowned the recipient of the prestigious SevenRooms Icon Award while Soneva Fushi was honoured with the Lost Explorer Best Beach Hotel Award.

The World’s 50 Best Hotels list is created by The World’s 50 Best Hotels Academy, an influential group of more than 580 independent leaders, each selected for their expert opinion of the international hotel scene. The list highlights outstanding hotel experiences that shape the aspirations of consumers, travellers and hoteliers worldwide.
Nearly half of the 50 winning properties are based in Europe. Passalacquain Moltrasio, Lake Como, Italy was named The World’s Best Hotel 2023.
Asia is home to 18 of The World’s 50 Best Hotels including, in the number two spot, the Rosewood Hong Kong. Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River is at number three, followed by The Upper House in Hong Kong (No.4) and Aman Tokyo (No.5). Click here for the full list of winners.
