David Hemmerle, the head Chef of 1 Michelin Star restaurant Grand Cru in Moscow, is set to grace the kitchen of The Lighthouse restaurant this festive season. With a spectacular 360 degree view of InterContinental Maldives and the surrounding ocean, the restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine crafted from the finest seasonal ingredients and seafood. The presence of Chef Hemmerle will enhance the resort’s culinary experience, allowing guests a taste of his famed culinary skills.
Originally from France, Chef Hemmerle has over 30 years of experience in fine dining at a number of establishments in Moscow, Dubai and Paris, and is the first French chef to be awarded a Michelin Star in Russia. He is also a global ambassador for French “art de vivre”. As Head Chef of the likes of Four Seasons in Moscow and the Cristal Room Baccarat (Mercury Group) in Paris, he has in depth knowledge of the tastes of metropolitan gourmet cuisine and cooks with creativity using complex techniques and the finest local ingredients.
