One&Only Reethi Rah welcomed Huravee School for an exclusive educational full-day program, aimed at providing insight into the hospitality industry from the lens of the One&Only brand, on 10th August 2024.
A group of 19 students from the student council, along with parent chaperones and staff, including the Deputy Principal, were invited to the program. The event began with an address and introduction to One&Only by the resort’s executive management, followed by a full day tour of the different guest and colleague facilities ranging from the Dive Center and the One&Only Spa, to various F&B outlets like the garden restaurant Botanica and the guest villas.
In line with the resort’s environmental initiatives, the tour also included a special presentation by the Olive Ridley Project, the resort’s charity partner in the recovery and rehabilitation of injured sea turtles. The visit ended with an afternoon tea, concluding a day tailored to nurture interest and attract a new generation of Maldivian hoteliers to pave the way for hospitality in Maldives.
“The tourism industry contributes to one-third of the Maldives’ GDP and provides crucial employment opportunities in the country. As a resort operating since 2005, setting the trends for ultra-luxury service in the Maldives, we take every chance, either through school visits or our Dharivaru apprenticeship program, to educate our Maldivian youth, the future generation of this country, about the importance of the hospitality industry and how they can shape their careers in this flourishing industry,” said Jan Tibaldi, the General Manager of One&Only Reethi Rah.
