Kuda Villingili Resort Maldives announces its participation in the 8th annual World Wellness Weekend, scheduled from 20th to 22nd September 2024. The event will be celebrated across 8,000 venues in 160 countries. The weekend has been designed to embody the core pillars of wellness: Sleep & Creativity, Nutrition & Immunity, Movement & Vitality, Mindfulness & Serenity, and Purpose & Solidarity. Each activity has been crafted to promote balance and overall well-being of guests.
Guests will kick off World Wellness Weekend with a 5K walkathon followed by activities at a recovery zone. M2D Blading, Massage Therapy and a speaker will share insights on the importance of self-care and its critical role in maintaining overall well-being. This session will inspire guests to prioritize their health and find purpose in nurturing both body and mind. At The Restaurant, a curated menu will offer fresh, wholesome options designed to boost immunity and energize the body.
Guests will enjoy a gratitude exercise and journaling session to encourage participants to contemplate and share what they are thankful for, fostering a positive mindset and a deeper sense of fulfillment. The sessions will be led by Jonathan Dungog, accomplished fitness professional and wellness advocate. With extensive certifications in Yoga, HIIT, TRX,and OCR training, Jonathan is known for his expertise across a wide range of disciplines.
As a seasoned triathlete, ultra-marathoner, and adventure enthusiast, Jonathan has spent years honing his expertise as a personal trainer. His dedication to holistic health led him to establish Fit and Flow Gym, where he offers a variety of fitness programs designed to empower individuals in their wellness journeys. At Kuda Villingili Resort Maldives, Jonathan will share his enthusiasm and expertise, inspiring guests to pursue lasting well-being and vitality.
Day 2 of World Wellness Weekend will feature an energetic Aero Boxing class, blending fitness and fun for participants of all skill levels. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive fitness consultations, where they can seek personalized advice on exercise routines, nutrition, and setting achievable wellness goals. These consultations are designed to help participants create a sustainable approach to their overall health and fitness.
The day will also include a unique gardening and hydration station, where guests can plant and nurture their plants, promoting a sense of purpose and connection with the environment. Drinks and energy bars will be available to keep participants energized and hydrated anda restorative yoga session will help them unwind and release stress.
The third day will begin with a Mat Pilates class. This low-impact workout emphasizes core strength, flexibility and alignment, which is ideal for participants of all fitness levels and supports improved posture, and overall body awareness. Following the mat Pilates, a functional training session will be conducted for adults, concentrating on exercises that enhance strength, balance, and flexibility. A cooking demonstration class waits for guests at The Restaurant by the culinary team, focusing on how to cook healthy meals. The day will conclude with an aqua aerobics class accompanied by music that will assist in improving strength, balance, and flexibility. The session will emphasize movements that improve daily activities, ensuring practical benefits beyond the workout.
For younger guests, the Kuda Fiyo Kids Club has scheduled Dance Yoga, Aero Kickboxing, Balloon Tennis, Aqua Zumba Marathon, Gratitude Jars, Mini Olympics, Nature Walk, Fun Run, and Kids Beach Clean-up Day.
