Dusit Thani Maldives elevates its culinary offerings with the introduction of SALA, a new vegan restaurant that offers plant-based, nutrient-rich dishes crafted with locally sourced ingredients and homegrown produce from the resort’s organic gardens.
Created in collaboration with Chef Celia Lam, the co-leader of the Slow Food Community Bangkok and an instructor at The Food School, Thailand’s first academy of gastronomy with business incubation services, operating under Dusit Hospitality Education, the restaurant’s menu promises a ‘plant-powered’ journey.
The restaurant reflects Dusit International’s wider dedication to sustainability through its Tree of Life program, emphasizing environmental conservation, health, and wellness. SALA will officially open its doors on 1st November 2024. Chef Celia Lam will host a series of exclusive masterclasses and interactive workshops, giving guests an opportunity to learn the art of creating vegan dishes using fresh, wholesome ingredients. The workshops will be held daily from 1st to 4th November 2024.
“This new organic restaurant represents our commitment to promoting healthy, sustainable living while offering an exceptional dining experience,” said Jean-Louis Ripoche, the Area General Manager of Maldives. “We are delighted to welcome Chef Celia Lam, whose passion for sustainability aligns perfectly with our vision, and we are confident SALA will resonate with health-conscious travelers seeking a transformative dining experience.”
