Lily Beach Resort & Spa announces its success at the Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives (FHAM) Global Culinary Challenge and Exhibition, held from 23rd to 25th September 2024. Competing against talented culinary professionals from across the Maldives, Lily Beach’s chefs secured multiple awards.
Chef Nuwan Taranga won the title of Chef de Cuisine, a Top Gold Medal for Best Italian Chef, a Silver Medal for SeaFood Hot Cooking, a Silver Medal for Traditional Italian Main Dishes and a Bronze Medal for Lamb Hot Cooking. Chef Muhammad Rafly Sofyana won the title of Chef De Partie and a Silver Medal for Poultry Hot Cooking. Chef Sachith Ushan Samarathunga won Commis and a Silver Medal for Dress the Cake (Pastry).
Lily Beach is known for its diverse and high-quality culinary offerings with four distinct restaurants and four bars. At Lily Maa, weekly themed dinners are featured with live cooking stations, a dedicated children’s corner, and a gluten-free section. AQVA offers a Teppanyaki station in the evening.
Vibes serves light meals and drinks throughout the day and hosts weekly entertainment, including live music, DJ nights, cultural events, and karaoke. Les Turquoise D’Aqua, the adults-only infinity pool and bar, serves the resort’s best fine-dining menu and received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 2024, recognized for its selection of over 70 premium wines.
