Canareef Resort’s culinary team excels at Hospitality Asia Maldives Global Culinary Challenge 2024

Canareef Resort Maldives announces the achievements of its culinary team at the Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives Global Culinary Challenge 2024. The competition was held at Dharubaaruge, Malé, and the resort chefs secured a total of 17 medals across various categories, showcasing their commitment to culinary excellence. 

The event, endorsed by the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS), is known as the region’s most esteemed culinary competition. It serves as a platform for chefs from over 100 resorts, hotels, and restaurants to demonstrate their skills and gain invaluable feedback from an internationally acclaimed panel of judges. 

The Canareef culinary team’s accolades include 2 bronze medals for Team Event Hot Dessert; 2 bronze and 2 silver medals for Hot Cooking Lamb; 2 silver and 1 gold medals for Hot Cooking Beef; 1 silver medal for Hot Cooking Chicken; 2 bronze and 1 silver medals for Hot Cooking Seafood; 1 silver medal for Artistic Showpiece; 1 bronze medal for Fruit & Vegetable Carving; 1 bronze medal for Creative Bread Display and 1 silver medal for Plated Appetizer.

This year’s competition brought together a vibrant community of culinary  professionals, allowing chefs to make new connections, share experiences, and admire  the creative showpieces that represent the best of Maldivian and international cuisine.
