Maldives Inflight Catering Pvt Ltd (MIC) announces the appointment of Mohamed Hilmy as the General Manager of Madifushi Private Island. A seasoned professional in the Maldivian hospitality industry, Hilmy brings over two decades of experience to his new role, with a record of leadership and excellence in luxury resort management.
Hilmy’s career began at Bandos Maldives, one of the country’s earliest resort destinations. He ascended to senior management positions across renowned resorts, including Sun Island Resort & Spa, LUX* South Ari Atoll, Angsana Velavaru, and Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru. His international expertise extends beyond the Maldives, with prior roles as Hotel Manager at Angsana Bintan in Indonesia and General Manager at Sun Aqua Pasikudah in Sri Lanka.
Hilmy served as Group General Manager at Sun Siyam Resorts, where he led operations across multiple properties, including Sun Aqua Vilu Reef, Sun Aqua Iru Veli, and Olhuveli Beach & Spa Maldives. His most recent role was as the General Manager of Furaveri Maldives, where he was instrumental in establishing the resort as a premier destination. In recognition of his dedication and industry expertise, Hilmy was awarded the ‘Best General Manager’ title at the World Luxury Hotel Awards in 2019.
