With over 17 years of culinary excellence and extensive experience with luxury hospitality brands, Chef Muthu brings a wealth of expertise, innovation and creative leadership to the resort’s culinary team.
Chef Muthu’s career includes prominent positions at renowned properties such as Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Muscat, NH Collection Oasis Doha, and JW Marriott Marquis City Centre Doha. His professional journey has spanned pre-openings, innovative menu development, and overseeing large-scale culinary operations, all while demonstrating a passion for gastronomy and operational excellence.
Notably, Chef Muthu spearheaded operations at “Brasserie Quartier” at The St. Regis Dubai, an establishment that twice earned the “Best French Restaurant” award from BBC Good Food Middle East. Chef Muthu’s accomplishments also extend to implementing cutting-edge culinary trends, managing high-volume dining (catering up to 2,200 daily covers), and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
As a certified HACCP Level 3 professional, he has demonstrated expertise in managing seamless kitchen operations, stock control, and team development. In his new role, Chef Muthu will lead the resort’s diverse dining operations, crafting menus that celebrate the unique flavors of the Maldives while integrating international cuisine to elevate the guest dining experience.
