Huvafen Fushi’s Vinum wine cellar’s going to host a truly amazing midday meal this Saturday, dubbed the Sommeliers Themed Lunch.
For those of you who aren’t in the know, it’s a prestigious event organised by Italian-based Epicurean Zonin 1821. These lunches are held at selected restaurants around the world, chosen for their excellence and intimate atmosphere.
And what better place in the Maldives than Vinum, Huvafen Fushi’s own underground cellar that’s home to a six thousand bottle collection with over 900 labels. The elegant, cave-like space also contains rare vintages and hidden gems, eight metres below the sun-dappled sand of the Dream Island.
The protagonists at these events are the top sommeliers from the locale. They will share their knowledge, ideas and opinions on the subject at hand. There will be blind tastings of great wines and toothsome meals especially prepared for the occasion.
