AS Marine unveiled a new passenger speedboat, the Coast Craft 38 Plus, at special function in Thilafushi yesterday. The 39-foot speedboat has a seating capacity of 31 persons and was built at the company’s boatyard on the island.
The speedboat is a new model of a vessel designed and built for the Maldives’ seas.
“The boat was built for this year’s boat show but we decided to go ahead and introduce it to the market because the event was rescheduled,” AS Marine’s operations manager Ismail Shareef is quoted as saying on Avas.com
“The vessel comes with an 18 months defects warranty and all customers will receive a data sheet from us so they will know what materials went into its construction,” Shareef explained. “What customers usually want is speed but safety is obviously more important. The Coast Craft 38 Plus is very stable and very safe.”
