Nouf Alosaimi, a Saudi Arabian PADI master scuba diver trainer, will take up residency at The Standard Maldives for a week of underwater explorations from 7 to 11 March.

The resort will be welcoming Alosaimi – the world record holder for the deepest technical dive by a Saudi woman – to celebrate International Women’s Day “and reflect on how we can improve inclusivity in one of the world’s most exciting sports.”

Her week-long residency includes three dive sessions, a coral planting activity, and talks on her inspiring journey as well as about marine trivia and ocean discovery. The Standard resort at Huruvalhi island has a pristine house reef with 98 types of coral and over 220 species of marine life, including turtles, grey sharks, eagle rays, and a variety of tropical fish.
