Appointee: Prakit Saisupnarong (Joe)

What They Said: Joe steps into the role with 16 years’ experience in hospitality, 14 of those in event management and hotel industry. He has a solid knowledge of international MICE and hotel markets, having thrived within large & renowned convention hotels, and managed some of the most prestigious venues and events in Thailand.

Speaking of his appointment, Joe said “My journey with the dynamic and passionate team at CROSSROADS Maldives will be one of the most exciting experiences in my life and I can’t wait to share my best chapter with all of them. Personalizes, resilience, agility, and communication are the key achievements that I bring with me to support the team to reach our goal together.”

Prior to joining CROSSROADS Maldives, Joe held the role of Director of Sales and Events at Rosewood Bangkok for almost three years. He has also previously held various sales leadership roles with recognised hotels in Thailand such as Anantara Riverside Resort, Avani+ Riverside Hotel, Waldorf Astoria, W Bangkok, Mandarin Oriental and Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers.

In his role as Cluster Director of Event Sales, Joe will be responsible for driving MICE business to CROSSROADS Maldives, and will work closely with the commercial team in strengthening the brand’s profile in the market.

Appointee: Ahmed Didi

What They Said: Ahmed Didi started his career as a Front Office Receptionist at Embudu Village in 1995. He completed his bachelor’s of Business in Tourism Management at Maldives National University and since then worked at well-known hotel chains in the Maldives.

Before joining Dhigufaru Island Resort, Ahmed Didi worked at Adaaran properties as a Corporate Manager, Sales and Reservations, and represented the properties at several international fairs worldwide. He also worked at a local DMC at Lets go Maldives and then joined Dhigufaru Island Resort as a Sales & Marketing Manager in 2018.

Ahmed Didi has contributed to the Maldives Tourism Industry in the past 25 years and he is known for his skills in negotiation, business planning, customer relationship management, and tourism trade.
