The Soneva Fushi resort will be hosting an exclusive ‘Mental Resilience Retreat’ in partnership with Aequi, a London-based group co-founded by Maldivian consultant psychiatrist Dr Shaazneen Ali.
Led by a team of expert practitioners and scheduled for 23 to 30 September, the eight-day retreat is open to just six guests for a customised, one-to-one service.
“At the retreat our clients will be guided by our on-site team to explore their strengths and weaknesses and start learning personalised wellbeing techniques,” according to Aequi. “Our approach can help clients to develop an understanding of psychological concepts that are relevant to them and integrate it with other aspects of self-care. Through our unique Aequi concept we will create an approach that enhances our clients’ mental resilience.”
A mental and nutritional assessment will be conducted by the London team before the retreat. The pre-assessment will ensure a client’s suitability and help with designing “a bespoke experience” including diet recommendation for the guest, who will also have the option of following up with Aequi’s London team after the retreat.
