Angsana Ihuru resort has been rebranded as Dhawa Ihuru Maldives.

The Dhawa brand is part of the Banyan Tree Group which operates Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru resort in the Maldives.

The resort also unveiled a new accommodation category, Beachfront Rainmist villas, featuring an outdoor shower with a mesh mat placed over an elevated deck. The Beachfront Rainmist Villa allows you to lie on the hammock and listen to the music of swaying palm trees and enjoy the ocean breeze as the water cascades from the rain shower. The villa comes with a king-size bed and can fit up to two additional sofa beds.

Other upgrades include an all-day social hub named Nest where guests can socialise over drinks. Its newly renamed beachfront restaurant Nook offers all-day dining, while Barception serves up bites and cocktails. Its Nectar delivery service offers bento takeout boxes curated to suit diverse cuisines such as Japanese, Indian, Chinese, Maldivian and Western tastes to enjoy anywhere on the island.

Following the rebranding, the group has extended Ihuru’s dining and leisure offerings, allowing guests to make use of the facilities at its sister resort, Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru as well.

The resort’s other offerings include its 8lements Spa, Activa, its 24-hour gym and a PADI 5-star Gold dive centre, as well as watersports activities such as windsurfing, wakeboarding, kayaking and ‘Kahan’bu’ catamaran. Guests can also choose tailored excursions such as snorkelling at popular sites on the house reef and romantic dining experience on an uninhabited island.
