The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands is set to host Eid al-Adha festivities with a series of culinary events and performances from 28 June to 3 July.
The celebrations will begin with the resort’s signature Maldivian Night, serving inspired dishes fusing tropical ingredients, simple spices and flavours from the north to the south of the Maldives.
On 30 June, the resort’s ocean-side Beach Shack will play host to The Souk, presenting a dazzling sundown experience to the hypnotic rhythm of belly dancers and a live fire show.
An evening of indulgence follows on 2 July with a Bedouin Barbeque and a live Oud performance at the resort’s Mystique Garden.
Guests are invited to extend their Eid celebrations and experience the electronic musical wonder of Cairo and Montreal-based performer Ash. On 4 July, Ash will perform a Sunset ‘Nomad Session’ at the Mystique Garden. The following day, he will perform a 75-minute sunset show including unreleased tracks, whilst ‘floating’ on an over-water stage perched above the resort’s circular infinity pool at EAU Bar.
Throughout the holidays, the resort invites guests of all ages to experience a taste of traditional Maldivian culture. Adults will learn the intricate art of Kasabu at an embroidery workshop using woven silk, metallics and cotton. Romantic painting workshops can also be enjoyed beach-side at sunset.
For the little ones, the resort is offering an engaging programme of festive activities at Ritz Kids. Junior VIPS can craft Eid decorations working with ceramics and tie-dye, get busy on a scavenger hunt and make traditional Eid cookies with the resort’s culinary team.
