Premium leisure airline Beond has announced Munich and Zurich as its initial origin cities, flying from Europe to the Maldives.
The inaugural flights are scheduled for November 2023, with the Munich inaugural flight departing on 15 November, and the Zurich inaugural flight departing on 17 November.
“We are thrilled to announce Munich and Zurich as launch cities for Beond. Our customers there will enjoy an incredible premium leisure experience on their way to Maldives, a beautiful destination. Our team is hard at work preparing for service launch with a goal to exceed every expectation of our first customers from the moment they book with us,” said Sascha Feuerherd, Beond’s Chief Commercial Officer.
A partnership between local hospitality company SIMDI Group and the UAE-based Arabesque, the new airline promises to offer customers a highly tailored, uncompromising travel experience and fly to the most desirable destinations. The operator hopes to provide affordable luxury travel with a private jet-like experience and comfort for direct long-haul flights.
Beond will begin operations this fall with Maldives as its first hub. The service launch from Europe will begin with an Airbus A319 aircraft with 44 state-of-the-art lay-flat configuration, and a premium on-board experience including fine dining. The airline recently received its Air Operator’s Certificate in Maldives from the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority.
The airline plans on expanding to 52 non-stop destinations in 26 countries, including Hong Kong, Milan, Paris, Riyadh, Singapore, Taipei, and Vienna.
