MMPRC conducts meetings with Tourism Ministry and Addu City stakeholders regarding sustainable tourism development in the South of Maldives

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/ Visit Maldives) has concluded preliminary meetings with the tourism industry and Addu City stakeholders to facilitate effective partnerships vital for the sustainable development of the tourism sector in Addu City and surrounding areas. The meetings were held until 4th of April and hosted by South Palm Maldives and Canareef Resort Maldives. The event initiated arrangements for the South Region Symposium to be held later this year.

A dedicated Gan International Airport meeting provided an opportunity for stakeholders to discuss pertinent matters related to regional tourism infrastructure and development. And the ‘Preliminary Meeting with Addu Stakeholders’, hosted by South Palm Maldives, provided a platform for local government officials, business leaders, community representatives, and tourism industry professionals to voice their perspectives, share insights, and contribute to shaping the future of tourism in the region. 

Prior to concluding the preliminary meetings, the stakeholders engaged in an interactive Q&A session, allowing the community to voice their concerns, share insights, and propose solutions. This series of preliminary meetings represent a significant step towards meaningful discussions, strategic partnerships, and actionable insights that will drive the sustainable development of tourism in the southern atolls of the Maldives.
