Marriott International Maldives to host recruitment open days for its apprenticeship program

Marriott International Maldives is accepting applications for its second apprenticeship program with a series of recruitment open days. The Marriott International Maldives Apprenticeship Program was launched as a pilot project on 9th May 2023, in partnership with the Maldives Institute of Technology and National Apprenticeship Program (NAP), and implemented through the Ministry of Youth Empowerment Information and Arts.

The program offers a structured curriculum that encompasses guest services, culinary arts, housekeeping, and front office operations. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a level-3 National Certificate accredited by the Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA).

The 10-month program offers aspiring young apprentices in hospitality an opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of hospitality while undergoing comprehensive training from industry experts. Participants will gain theoretical knowledge from MIT through the approved curriculum of Maldives Skill Development Authority (MNSDA).

They will acquire on-the-job training at their portfolio of seven resorts in the Maldives, which include The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort, JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa, W Maldives, Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa, Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa, and The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort.

Interested candidates between the age of 16 to 20 years can submit applications until 2nd May 2024. Open days for prospective applicants to learn more about the program and submit their applications will take place at  Malé on 18th April 2024, at LH. Naifaru on 20th April 2024,  at B. Eydhafushi on 22nd April 2024, at HA. Dhidhdhoo on 24th April 2024, at HDK. Kulhudhufushi on 26th April 2024, at GN. Fuvamulah on 27th April 2024, at Addu on 29th to 30th April 2024 and again in Malé on 2nd May 2024.
