Fari Islands has opened a new football field to host games between employees, guests and locals from neighbouring islands.
The manmade cluster of islands in North Malé Atoll is home to the Patina, Capello and Ritz-Carlton new resorts in the Maldives. The football pitch was built on the Patina Campus island dedicated for staff of the three luxury properties.
“Fari Islands seeks to provide the next generation of travellers with an elevated Maldivian experience. The football field presents new opportunities for creating wonderful memories through social connection,” said Evan Kwee, Head of Design and Hospitality at the Pontiac Land Group.
“Our employees are the Champions of Fari Islands and our most precious resource. We believe in work-life balance and are proud to offer them with a living environment centred around engagement, growth and a sense of community.”
Designed by Ritz-Carlton’s Senior Duty Engineer Mohamed Ziyau, the 6,310 square meter field was developed with Regalawn P60-318 turf.
