The Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi picked up five accolades at the Haute Grandeur Global Awards 2021.

The five-star property in Shaviyani atoll was named Best Honeymoon Resort on a Global level and Best Overwater Villa Resort in the Indian Ocean. The resort’s Willow Stream Spa swept the spa awards in three categories as the best on a global level, the best destination spa in the Indian Ocean and the best luxury spa in the Maldives.

“I am so happy about these awards and I want to thank the whole team at Fairmont Maldives for making it possible. I’m really proud of them!’ remarked Andrew Steele, General Manager of Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi. “Our bespoke, heartfelt service has proven once again to be a favourite of international honeymooners and the Willow Stream Spa’s win also shows that we are a wellness destination in our own regards.”

The Haute Grandeur Global Awards covers more than 32 categories solely based on quality feedback from guests in more than 172 countries.

Aside from a new visiting wellness practitioner series at the Willow Stream Spa, which invites personalities from the worlds of fitness, holistic wellbeing, and aesthetic medicine, the resort’s FIT programme offers personal training sessions and boxing lessons with famous coaches from around the world. Fairmont sits in the largest resort lagoon in the Maldives surrounded by a 9km house reef and houses the country’s first and only coral regeneration project and underwater art installation – the Coralarium. A soon-to-be-launched Sustainability Lab will meanwhile allow guests to turn plastic waste into souvenirs and unique objects.
