Manta Air has expanded its fleet with the addition of its 15th Twin Otter aircraft. The De Havilland DHC6-300 Twin Otter arrived at the Velana International Airport on Wednesday (21 June) after a week-long journey from Florida.

The aircraft will be transported to the airline’s base at Dhaalu Airport in Kudahuvadhoo, where it will be equipped with floats before beginning operations under its new registration.

The latest acquisition is part of Manta Air’s expansion plan announced last December.

In addition to its seaplane operations, Manta Air also operates domestic flights using ATRs and Beechcraft 1900D aircraft.
