The Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) is conducting a joint marketing campaign with KOMPAS to promote the Maldives in the CIS region.
Running from April to July, the campaign will utilise native languages to promote the Maldives and strengthen the destination brand in the CIS market with digital and traditional marketing activities.
KOMPAS is one of the leading tour operators in the region with over 17 years of experience. A multi-disciplinary tour operator, KOMPAS implements its own charter programmes in popular destinations, as well as organising tours in Kazakhstan and around the world.
The MMPRC expects to achieve a wide-scale reach with the campaign. The major components of the campaign include marketing the Maldives through digital, social media, and outdoor advertising activities. The content will feature the products, experiences, and segments of the Maldives, with a highlight on honeymoon and family vacations.
The CIS region is a significant region for Maldives tourism industry. Some 238,951 tourist arrivals from the CIS region were recorded at the end of last year with Russia as one of the top source markets to the Maldives in 2023 thus far.
The MMPRC held a total of 16 various marketing activities for the CIS market in 2022. The MMPRC took part in Pure Luxury 2023 fair and the Moscow Dive Show earlier this year. Several marketing activities are planned for this region for the rest of the year as well.
